Questions to consider
Does what you depend on for life draw others to religious activity or to Christ?
Do you believe an on going dependence on Christ will also produce an on going life worth living? Why or why not?
If your hung up on being religious, exhausted or turn off by religion, will you depend only on Christ, his life, and his power to make you and keep you right with God?
Today’s Point: A life worth living is dynamically dependent on Christ to be right with God and to display God’s character in and though our lives.
Not Religion! (vv. 1-3)

“Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take real rest. Walk with me and work with me — watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.
Jesus, Matthew 11:29-30, The Message |
