The Apostle Paul writes to the church in Colosse to encourage them to stay the course, focused on the Head of the Church, Jesus Christ. He opens his letter with joy, thankfulness and praise for church. They are moving in the right direction.
Today’s Point: God invites us to be involved in what he’s doing by loving others, responding to our knowledge of Him, and giving thanks all along the way.
Evidence # 1 Outpouring of Love (1.1-8)
Evidence #2 Knowledge that Acts (1.9-11)
Evidence #3 Thankfulness (1.11-14)
| The faster life moves, the easer it is to get off course—way off course. Stephen Covey, in his book First Things First, addressed that need for people to focus on direction, not only activity. He compares the watch and compass as two competing tools. One is used in relation to tasks and activity the other gives direction. Are you driven by the clock and calendar, or guided with purpose and direction as you live day to day? | |||||
