Legalism is promoted by people with withered hearts, by men and women who have allowed their hearts to become withered. And this makes God angry. And it should make you angry, too.
Someone once said a very simple and wise thing that went like this: "The main thing is to keep the main thing the main thing."

Legalism: An environment in which pettiness is allowed to dominate people's lives.

Legalism: An atmosphere in which people are tried, convicted, and hung based on their unwillingness to conform to the trivial.

Legalism: An environment Jesus refuses to tolerate and live in without confrontation ... and neither should we.
