Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.
1. Do not be Deceived -- 1 Kings 19:1-8
You shall not covet (21:1-4)
You shall not bear false witness (21:5-10)
You shall not murder (21:11-16)
2. A Man reaps what he Sows -- 1 Kings 21:17-26
The King is sentenced to death (21:17-19)
The Songs are sentenced to death (21:20-22)
The Queen is sentenced to death (21:23-24)
3. Humility of Heart reaps the Mercy of God -- 1 Kings 21:25-29
The king sinners (21:25-26)
Humbles Himself before God (21:27)
And receives mercy (21:28-29)
Are you presently sowing to please the Spirit?
What fruit have you reaped?
Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.
