2 Thessalonians
"Concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered to him, we ash you, brothers, not to become easily unsettled or alarmed by some prophecy, report or letter supposed to have come from us, saying that the day of the Lord has already come." (2 Thess. 2:1-2)
As in the days of Jesus and the apostle Paul there continues to be much confusion among some of God's people concerning the 2nd Coming of Jesus Christ. Not only are some of us confused about the time of His 2nd coming, but also some of us are concerned about how we should live in our communities until He comes again. The apostle Paul addressed these problems in his letters to his beloved spiritual family living in the port city of Thessalonica. Paul was and continues to be able to bring order out of chaos on this important subject. His answers to their many questions concerning the 2nd Coming of Jesus Christ are as relevant today as the day in which they were written. His spiritual insights should fill our hearts with a great sense of encouragement.
